Anyone who knows me will tell you that I am OBSESSED with personalizing. Whether it be for my children's friend's birthday parties, weddings, or bridesmaids gifts. I love that feeling when someone knows that I bought this gift just for you! One of my favorite gifts to recommend for bridesmaids gifts is a monogrammed jute tote filled with a personalized (of course!) bath towel wrap, along with other inexpensive goodies that pertain to that bridesmaids life. So if you have a bridesmaid who is about to get married, put a wedding magazine and a cute bridal notepad in there. If you have a bridesmaid who is about to have a baby, put a Baby magazine in with some pampering lotion. It's not so much the cost or the amount of items you put into a bridal party gift, as it is the thought that goes into it. While this is true for every gift, it holds especially true for people who are spending time, money and energy to be a part of your wonderful day.

So after many months of working to find the perfect web designer (I can't say enough great things about him), tracking down past event photos, and just making the time to work on it, we finally have the new website up and running. I'm so happy with how everything turned out and am incredibly thankful to all of the photographers who provided photos, my web designer, Jason Lee, who was oh, SO patient and to my amazing former clients who have given me the opportunity to have such a wonderful portfolio. Thank you!

Birthday Party In the Works

I just had to share with you the birthday party invite for a party I am throwing in a few weeks. I can't wait to share photos of all of the details and of course the kiddos having a great time.

On a side note, I know that kid's birthday parties are a hot topic among moms with some thinking they are getting out of hand. My personal theory is that there are so many ways to pour love into a birthday party without breaking the bank. Destination Weddings in Cabo

As I return from a much needed vacation from Cabo San Lucas, I can't seem to turn off my wedding planner mind from dreaming of all of the possibilities. Much to my husband's dismay, this morning at breakfast I proceeded to tell him why our table was the ideal spot for an "altar". Cabo is the perfect location for a destination wedding with it's year round good weather to the service unlike any other I've experienced. The taste and presentation of the food, the tropical surroundings and the beautiful pacific beaches lend itself to becoming the IT place to host a destination wedding. Lisa & Daniel's Wedding

I had the pleasure of coordinating the wedding of a sister of a dear friend who happens to be a fabulous wedding planner. It's such an honor when someone in the business asks you to coordinate the special day that they have worked so hard to plan so that they can enjoy the wedding as a guest, or in this case a Matron of Honor. Lisa and Daniel's wedding took place at the Smith Family Chapel at Riverbend in Austin and the reception was held at Barton Creek Resort & Spa. The entire evening was magical from the obvious love between all of the families to the fun-loving guests who never left the dance floor. The vendors that were chosen to be a part of this event made every aspect perfect and the bride, groom, and their families couldn't have been happier. A special thanks to Cat from Peacock Photography for these awesome images capturing every element of the perfect evening!

It's Fashion Week here in Austin and along with all of the fabulous parties comes the Austin Fashion Week Golden Boot awards. This year Critic's Choice Best Bridal Designer award went to CiarlaBride and I couldn't agree more! If you aren't familiar with this line get ready for grace, style, and femininity at it's best. CiarlaBride is an Austin based designer that offers a couture approach to bridesmaids dresses, alternative wedding dresses and fun, edgy cocktail dresses. This line is perfect for the bride that is looking for her bridesmaids dresses to be from a cohesive collection while displaying the personal style of each attendant. I attended a party earlier this week where some models were wearing these dresses and they look just as good in person as they do seen on the model. Love, love, love these dresses!

Emerging Trend: Cake Balls

Tonight I attended the 2nd Anniversary Bash for Austin Cake Ball and was so amazed by the variety, flavor selection and presentation options you can do with Cake Balls. So many brides tell us they are looking for a way for their wedding to be different from all of the others. This is such a great alternative to traditional wedding cake while still maintaining the delicious flavor that all of your guests are craving. The list goes on and on for different occasions that you can use these for including bridal showers, baby showers, bridal luncheons and birthday parties. I love the idea of having one or even a couple of the cake balls contain red velvet as their filling and present those guests that bite into them with a special gift from the hostess. Wouldn't it be fun to use these for a gender reveal party so that everyone could bite into their cake ball at the same time to reveal a pink or blue filling! I could go on all night, needless to say I'm a bit excited about the potential with Cake Balls.

Brides Enjoying their Day

There is something so magical about watching a bride truly enjoy every moment of her wedding day. Often times, when a coordinator is not brought in whether it be for the entirety of planning or just to handle the day-of, a bride is too preoccupied to take-in and cherish every moment of her wedding day. With the bond that we form with most of our clients (which turn into friends), nothing is more fulfilling than watching moments like the ones seen in these photos. Thank you for making me love what I do!
